On-site Individual Directed Retreats
 
St. Peter upon the Water offers unique retreat opportunities at their location in Ingram for those seeking solitude for individual stays of any length.  The Quiet House is a duplex named Mary Anne’s Cottage, in memory of Mary Anne Collins, a charter member of our Spiritual Director Formation Team.  It is designed so that retreatants can enjoy silence and prayerful solitude during their stay.  The St. John Vianney House, named after the patron of parish priests, is a gift to St. Peter upon the Water from Mrs. Beverly Pevehouse and is also available to the bishop, clergy, religious, and laity for personal retreats. 
These contemplative retreat cottages, situated high on the campus, beckon those who long to breathe deeply of God’s presence while enjoying stillness, distant views, gentle porch breezes, and abundant wildlife.  Each cottage is equipped with everything needed for a Spirit-filled retreat, including a small kitchen for preparing simple meals.  Because of the sacred value of spiritual direction, one hour of conversation with a formed spiritual director is Included for each retreat day.   Also available to retreatants is the library and the intimate chapel inviting prayer and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
