Born in Hudson Falls, New York, Bishop Mike Boulette moved with his family to Fredericksburg, Texas as a young boy. Called to the priesthood, he took his formation through Roman Catholic seminaries in the Archdiocese of San Antonio, Texas. He subsequently completed an MTh degree at Notre Dame University in South Bend, Indiana, BA and MA degrees in Psychology from St. Mary and Trinity Universities in San Antonio, Texas, and a DMin degree in Preaching and Worship from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Austin, Texas.
Bishop Mike engaged in parish ministry for many years, and served for a time as Director of Spiritual Formation at Assumption Seminary in San Antonio, Texas. In 2004, Bishop Mike was commissioned to begin a new ministry for the Archdiocese of San Antonio, which was named St. Peter upon the Water: A Center for Spiritual Direction and Formation. In 2017 he accepted the call to become Auxiliary Bishop for the Archdiocese of San Antonio. He continues serving as Director of St. Peter upon the Water, along with his many pastoral and episcopal duties.
